2012 Sukma Games
The 2012 Sukma Games, (Malay: ''Sukan Malaysia 2012'') was held in Kuantan, Mentakab, Pekan and some other places in Pahang, although secondary sports events are held in Kuala Lumpur in 2011. This edition was one of the best edition held by a state, with athletes compete in main sports events. Previously, it held the 1996 edition where it emerged third place. It was said by Minister of Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Khairy Jamaluddin. The next edition will be held in Perlis.。
==Introduction==
This is the 14th edition of Sukma Games since its introduction in 1986. It was the second time the state held such a national sporting event. At that time, all states held their respective Sukma Games except for Kelantan and Perlis.
Previously, Pahang has hosted the 1996 Sukma Games where it came in third place after Selangor and Sarawak. The state gained experience from the previously hosted grand national sporting event, many of the sports venues and facilities were upgraded. In terms of annual Sukma Games system, Pahang host the games for main sports events, known by many as the 15th Sukma Games in English and Sukan Malaysia ke-15 in Malay. Whereas Kuala Lumpur as co-host for secondary sports events, known by many as the 14th Sukma Games, 1st Mini Sukma Games, 2011 Mini Sukma Games or 2011 Sukma Games in English and Sukan Malaysia ke-14, Sukma Malaysia Mini Pertama, Sukan Malaysia Mini 2011 or Sukan Malaysia 2011 in Malay.
